XVIII Academic School of Pediatrics

From February 26 to March 1, 2026, the XVIII Academic School of Pediatrics took place in the picturesque Carpathian region. This time, the event was held in a hybrid format, combining both offline and online participation.

This large-scale professional event became an important platform for exchanging modern knowledge, clinical experience, and practical approaches in pediatrics. It brought together pediatricians, pediatric allergists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, endocrinologists, infectious disease specialists, neurologists, family doctors, and general practitioners. For Alkaloid Kyiv LLC, it was another excellent opportunity to familiarize the event participants with up-to-date scientific and practical data on the use of antibacterial drugs manufactured by ALKALOID AD SKOPJE.

As part of the scientific program, leading experts and scientists highlighted current aspects of antibacterial therapy in children. Specifically, the presentation by Professor H. V. Beketova, titled "Third-Generation Cephalosporins in the Treatment of Bacterial Diseases in Children from the Perspective of Evidence-Based Medicine," clearly outlined the role of third-generation cephalosporins in treating bacterial respiratory infections in children in accordance with modern evidence-based medicine approaches.

In her speech, "Respiratory Infections in Children: When Cephalosporins Become a Better Alternative to Other Antimicrobial Drugs. A Pharmacologist's View," Professor H. V. Zaichenko explained from a pharmacological standpoint why cephalosporins hold an important place as antibacterial therapy for respiratory infections in pediatric practice, emphasizing the specific features of their use and clinical expediency.

We are proud to be a part of events that foster the professional growth of physicians, create a space for meaningful discussions, and support high standards of medical care for children in Ukraine.
